Al-Kitab Program

Al Kitab

We are happy to announce the start of the AlKitab Program at MIC. The program has been updated so that students can move from reading all the way to advanced hifz with tajweed.

Overall Goals:

  • Students learn how to read Qur’aan
  • Students learn tajweed rules and application of rules
  • Students memorize Qur’aan with tajweed

Goals for Each Level:

Level 1: (white belt)

  • Finish Noorani Qaidah over two semester
  • Learn application of tajweed rules: Ghunnah, Qalqalah, Mad
  • Memorize Surah Al Fatiha and Surah AnNaas- AlZalzalah

Level 2: (yellow belt)

  • Finish Noorani Qaida by half of the year and begin reading from Mushaf in second half
  • Learn application and concept of tajweed rules: Ghunnah, Qalqalah, Mad
  • Memorize Surah AlFatiha and Surah AnNaas-AlBalad

Level 3: (green belt)

  • Learn application and concept of tajweed rules: Ghunnah, Qalqalah, Mad, and rules of نْ and tanween
  • Memorize Surah AlFatiha and Surah AnNaas- AlFajr

Level 4: (black belt)

  • Revise all the tajweed rules of نْ and tanween
  • Memorize Quran with tajweed from wherever each student has left off memorizing.
