Ramadan Mubarak! (MIC Activities & Programs for Ramadan)

As Salaam Alaykum Warahmatulahi Wabarakatuh!
RAMADAN MUBARAK!
The first day of Ramadan will be Monday, August 1, 2011. The first night of Taraweeh prayer will begin Sunday, July 31, 2011 at 9:30 p.m.
PRAYER SCHEDULE
NIGHTLY ACTIVITIES
MIC wants to make our first every Ramadan one to remember! Taraweeh prayers will be held every night at MIC and we’ve made more space to accomodate more people! Shaykh Yasir Qadhi will be delivering a lecture every night and we’ve invited licensed qari Shaykh Salah Al Kurdi to lead taraweeh this year. Sh. Salah was also the featured qari in this year’s ISNA Convention in Chicago, IL and is originally from Amman, Jordan.
OUR GURANTEE
Shaykh Yasir Qadhi and the Board of Trustees will not allow weeknight programs – including Isha and taraweeh prayers and lectures – to exceed 1.5 hours and on Fridays and Saturdays you will not stay longer than 2 hours, insha’Allah.
CHILD CARE
In our mission to always be a family friendly environment, MIC will be providing free child care for all children 10 years and younger. Please call or visit us for more details.
IFTAAR
During weeknights MIC will provide dates, drinks and a few refreshments for everyone to open their fast. Community iftar dinners will take place on Friday, Saturdays and Sundays only.
ITIKAAF
Itikaaf will happen in the last 10 night of Ramadan. Please look out for more details during Ramadan.
IMPORTANT DATES
Please mark the following dates on your calendar:
- MIC Fund Raiser on August 20, 2011 at 7:30 p.m.
- Khatm (Completion) of Qur’an on August 27, 2011
PARKING
We’ve making progress on doubling the capacity of our existing parking lot while preparing our land for the next construction phase. If for any reason you are unable to find parking on the MIC grounds, our gracious neighbors at Heartsong Church have kindly allowed us to park in their lot on any night our parking lot is full. As always, please be observant of all parking rules whether you are at Heartsong or MIC.
Please contact us at (901) 231-9340 or info@memphisislamiccenter.org for more information.
